James McNeill Whistler: 40 Years of Printmaking

The Kruger Collection is exhibiting three roomboxes in correlation with approximately 40 etchings and lithographs by James McNeill Whistler from the Sheldon’s permanent collection. The three roomboxes include an American dining room design that was stylish time of Whistler's birth in 1834, a sitting room style common in America at the time of his death in 1903, and a collection of Japanese objects highlighting the Japanese influence on the Aesthetic Movement, to which Whistler was a major contributor.
